Home = Education Conference Photo Album Page 4

Dateline: 8/28/99

By Ann Zeise

Homeschooling teens had here own parallel conference going during the Home=Education Conference in Sacramento Friday, August 20 through Sunday, August 22, 1999. When my son and I crossed paths, I took a few impromptu photos. About 140 teens showed up for their conference. This is not typical of how they spent their time! They were busy learning to Swing Dance and climbing a rock wall, etc.

Debbie WeistarDebbie Weistar

Debbie Weistar and her husband, Tom, ran the Teen Conference, a very popular set of sessions just for those 13-18.

When they aren't helping out at this conference they manage Rightful Passage, Offering Wilderness Adventures, A Ropes Course, River-Rafting, Rock-Climbing, Backpacking, and Cooperative Games and Initiatives for homeschooling teens. Located in California.

Sunday Evening Wipe Out

While NHEN moms took over one room, our teens piled in another to watch TV and eat junk food. My son, Scott, did the best he could with names. Please help if you can.
