Ghost
Town - Bodie, California
By Ann Zeise, Dateline: 10/31/00 Page
2
October 18th, I and two other homeschooling
families made the trek to the Gold Rush ghost town of Bodie,
California, about a two hour drive from Yosemite where we had
been camping. Some of us found ourselves transformed into ghosts
in the reflections of the windows in the abandoned buildings.
Your guide, Ann Zeise, as a
ghost in the Boone Store and Warehouse.
Andrew as a ghost in the Wheaton
& Hollis Hotel.
Pool table, covered with dust,
awaits miners who will never play.
The truck ran out of gas back
in the 1930's.
Scott and Robyn appear as ghostly
visitors at the Wheaton & Hollis hotel.
Dare you proceed?
