Anti-Semitism : Its prevalence within the Christian right

A2 Homeschool Curriculum: Pros and Cons of This Curriculum
For most home schoolers the organization of the school year when you have a wide range of grades is half the battle. With this curriculum everything is spelled out for us. The subjects are broken down, with suggestions for each one. By Joy Sexton.

Biology books missing big picture, survey says
None of 10 top U.S. high school biology books contain adequate information that improve science literacy among students, according to a recent review by a science educational organization.

Homeschooling From the Heart Reviews
Emailed newsletter features reviews of books, curriculum, software and more -- some are well-known resources, others are wonderful, yet little-known and we're hoping to help you find some of those hidden treasures. Best of all -- no one will be trying to sell you anything!

Homeschooling Together
We are a homeschooling family in Charlotte, North Carolina. We hope that many homeschoolers will add reviews to Homeschooling Together so that this site will reflect the knowledge, experience, and wisdom of the greater homeschooling community.

Konos
I think KONOS is a great unit studies curriculum.  I bought my first volume back in 1993.  It was the first curriculum that we bought.  I decided on unit studies since they seemed to be a great way to learn--hands on and integrated. By Carole Thaxton and Jessica Hulcy.

Latin Curriculum Reviews
From the Classical Christian Education Support Loop.

Math Text Books by Harold Jacobs vs Saxon
Susan Richman compares these two math texts popular with homeschoolers. I have Jacobs' texts available.

Mathematically Correct - Algebra 1 Reviews
The primary factor, called Mathematical Depth , was strongly defined by the majority of rating dimensions - those that relate to student work and to the quality of the presentation, its clarity, the examples, and the use of proof. The secondary factor was called Analytic Focus and was strongly defined by an emphasis on analytic approaches and appropriateness of technology.

Mathematically Correct

More on the California creationist lawsuit
According to the lawsuit, UC's board of admissions also advised the school that it would not approve biology and science courses that relied primarily on textbooks published by Bob Jones University Press and A Beka Books, two Christian publishers.

My Experience with ATIA
The very fact that BG took it upon himself to attempt to control what I---the wife of another man---should wear sent major red flags that this was a man whose system was presuming to usurp my husband's role. It was alarming, to say the least. By Rebecca Prewett.

Pensacola Christian College and A Beka
ABeka employs nearly all student employees and pays them all minimum wage. In the summer, the pay is slightly higher, $7.50 per hour, because it would be difficult to get anyone to work for minimum wage in the summer when they could get more at home. Some students are forced to work all night in the print shop. Others are assigned to the distribution center even if they are not suited to hard labor. Sometimes students are injured and forced to go back to work anyway.

SOS Homeschoolers
A place for those of us using Switched-On-Schoolhouse Curriculum, to get together and discuss achievements, problems, pointers, or just get support.

Tammy's (Mostly) Home Schooling Curriculum and Book Reviews
I like hanging out at some of the home schooling bulletin boards.  It seems like some of the same curriculum questions keep popping up over and over.  So I've put a few reviews up here to live permanently.
