I have homeschooled 2 children over the past 16 years and
have never found a program such as yours. Your textbooks and
study guides are fun, informative, up-to-date, and of very high
quality.
I have never seen my daughter grasp new ideas and subject
matter so quickly! With your teaching methods, she is able to
remember more information and put it to use more than I ever
thought possible. It's a great feeling to know that she is enjoying
her education so much that she can't wait until her next subject
arrives. Your program has definitely put her head and shoulders

Chief Academic Office
(I-Newswire) - The new brands reflect the company's 115 year
presence in the State of Pennsylvania and pays tribute to the
company's founder Thomas J. Foster, the American pioneer in distance
education.
In addition, Education Direct's Canadian distance learning
institution will revert to its original name, ICS Canada.
The decision to change names was based on Education Direct's
proprietary research. According to Thomas O'Keefe, the company's
vice president for business development, "The Education
Direct name was not well recognized in the consumer marketplace.
The absence of an institutional descriptive such as school or
institute made it difficult for us to effectively promote ourselves
as a regionally and nationally accredited provider of distance
education programs."
The new institution under the Penn
Foster name will retain its regional accreditation ( Middle
States Commission ) for its vocational and high school programs
and national accreditation ( DETC ) for its degree programs.
In addition, Penn Foster has been reviewed and approved as an
authorized provider of continuing education and training programs
by the International Association for Continuing Education and
Training ( IACET ).
Penn
Foster Career School
will remain a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Two-Year
Colleges.
ICS Canada will retain its accreditation with the Canadian
Education and Training Accreditation Commission ( CETAC ) as
well as a member of the National Association of Career Colleges
( NACC ).
The company's corporate name, Thomson Education Direct, will
remain unchanged. Penn Foster and ICS represent the company's
consumer brands.
