A to Z Home's Cool Drivers Ed
The Flashy fun way to learn to drive -- online, for less than you'd pay to spend two weekends in a classroom!

American Red Cross Bay Area's Leadership Development Center
LDC is held at Mills College in Oakland annually in July. This 4-day, overnight camp is designed to build strong leaders and positive relationships among Bay Area Youth (entering grades 9-11). Homeschoolers invited and encouraged to attend.

Cal Alive
CD-rom (Mac & Win) software for studying the diverse biomes and ecological resources of California.

California Athletics for Home Schools
Offers a variety of classes and competitive sports for all ages, and in most areas of California.

California Foundation For Agriculture in the Classroom
Lesson plans and links to help you and your kids understand the role of agriculture in California. Lots of resources for 4H clubs.

California Golden State ScholarShare College Savings Trust
Tax-deferred, college savings program will help California families and others to save in order to meet the increasing costs of higher education.

California High School Proficiency Exam
The CHSPE is a way for teen homeschoolers to prove they have mastered high school subjects and graduate. Beginning with the April 2004 administration, the fee for taking the CHSPE will be $85. About the school code: we have been told to put "see attached" and include a copy of your R4 with a note saying it is a school with fewer than six students and therefore has no sdc code.

College Prep Initiative
Students throughout California are now able to complete AP courses and study for AP exams via the Internet through the UC College Prep Initiative (UCCP), a systemwide program administered through UC Santa Cruz.

Community College Transfer Assistance
Many high school-aged homeschool students enjoy taking some courses at local community colleges. This site will help you understand how some credits transfer to the UC and CSU system.

Earth Team
The EarthTeam Restoration Initiative (ETRI) creates Restoration Program for SF Bay Area teens throughout the year at different sites around the Bay area.

HSC Camping Goodness
Annie Twist Lubke has made special web site for us HomeSchool California campers. Site has photos, recipes, lists of things to bring, and a Yahoo Group to help campers stay in touch.

Kids College - North Orange County
Classes have a grade level or age range listed for each class. The course instructor determines the class level in an effort to ensure that all enrolled children will have a positive and successful experience while in class.

KQED EdNet
Serves teachers, childcare providers, parents, and the community through interactive workshops, events, learning activities and lesson plans, online and in print.

RAFT - Resource Area for Teachers
SF Bay Area resource for surplus materials and reasonably priced workshops. Available to R4 homeschooling teachers. (Bring your R4 copy.) Located in San Jose near the Santa Clara County Office of Education on Ridder Park Dr.

Rock-It Science
Offers exciting hands-on science classes in the Silicon Valley area for homeschoolers aged 5-16. New classes begin each September, January, and March. We also offer summer camp classes.
