Homeschool Day at the Atlanta Opera, Marietta GA
Thursday, March 4, 2010. A wonderful operatic version of the classic Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale. In the Sanctuary at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church on Johnson Ferry Road in Marietta. $6 in advance, $8 at the door. Children under the age of 2 are free.

Homeschool Days At Wahsega 4H Center
April 14 - 16, 2010. Homeschool families can register directly with Wahsega to sign up for a 3-day, 2-night field study. During your visit, you'll stay in rustic cabins, eat meals in our historic dining hall, and participate in memorable and educational field study classes. You'll learn about the forest, the stream, the wildlife, the area's history, yourself and each other. The deadline for registration is April 1, 2010.

2010 Southeast Homeschool Expo
July 30 - 31, 2010. Cobb Galleria, Atlanta, Georgia. Featured Speakers: Debbie Strayer, Valerie Bendt, Randi St. Denis, Kelly Ling.

School's Out Forever Homeschool Getaway
October 8 - 11, 2009. We invite all homeschoolers, who have left school and the idea of school in the past, to join us for an exciting, family supported getaway at the beautiful Stone Mountain Park, in Atlanta Georgia.

The snag for the homeschoolers of Georgia came about when Governor Perdue refused to compromise on deleting the provision that once allowed parents to give permission for their child to leave school prior to his/her eighteenth birthday.
