May 28 - 29, 2010. Macalester College, St. Paul, Minnesota. "The Family: Seminary of Hope." Keynote Speaker: Dr. Ray Guarendi, Psychologist, Author, and Father of Ten.
2010 MHA Annual Conference NEW
September 25, 2010. New Brighton Family Service Center in New Brighton. The all-day Conference offers something for everyone - from getting started workshops, to guidelines on preparing your teen for college, to dozens of vendor displays. Keynote Speaker: Linda Dobson.

Gibbs Heritage Home School Program NEW

A significant portion of families in Minnesota choose nonpublic
education options for their children by enrolling them in private
(nonpublic) schools (both faith-based and secular) or by educating
them at home. Resource for:
Reporting
Help for Filling out the Compulsory Report Form
Nothing in Minnesota law specifies exactly how non-public educators are to make their annual report only that it is due by October 1 each year and certain information is to be communicated. You are free to write a letter of your own, use this MACHE designed reporting form, or some other device.

Lakeville Area Public Schools provides many forms for homeschoolers
in their district, such as a sample report card, instruction report, etc.
Minnesota Compulsory Instruction Report
Minnesota Statutes 120A.22120A.26, 121A.15 require
the person in charge of providing instruction to a child to submit
the information collected in this report to the superintendent
of the district in which the student resides.

Most subscribers live in Douglas County, Wisconsin and St. Louis
County, Minnesota, but there are a few families outside this
immediate region that have taken an interest in the newsletter
as well. Apples of Gold is published bi-monthly
