Home Schools - Overview from the NM PED
Home schools are operated by a parent or legal guardian of a school-age person who instructs a home study program, including but not limited to reading, language arts, mathematics, social studies, and science. These students are not considered public school students and do not receive credits for the courses, unless the home study program is through an accredited correspondence school.

Home-schoolers allowed one sport
Senate bill 1098 permits home-schooled athletes to participate in "one school district athletic activity at the public school in the attendance zone in which the student resides," in accordance with New Mexico Activities Association guidelines, the bill states.

Home School Operators Procedures Manual
Revised May 2008. The purpose of the Procedures Manual for Home School Operators in New Mexico is to provide parents, legal guardians, and local school district officials direction for implementing the most recent legislation.

ABQ Homeschool Science Co-operative
A cooperative group meeting in Albuquerque, New Mexico where all members share, present and discover the world of science with our 5 to 10 year old children.

Albuquerque Home Learners
A diverse, yet unified organization of homeschooling families who work collectively and cooperatively to provide encouragement, support, resources, and both social and educational activities and opportunities to its members and their children.

Albuquerque Unschoolers
Our main goal is to foster a local friendships with like-minded Unschoolers & Radical Unschoolers within Albuquerque. We create and participate in numerous activities each month in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho. But mostly Albuquerque because too many of our members get lost in Rio Rancho.

Learning through play
We are an Albuquerque, NM and outer area homeschool group dedicated to learning through play. We will have weekly park dates organized and some unorganized, field trips, play dates, and special events, Moms nights out, etc. We are primarily based in Albuquerque.

New Mexico Homeschooled Tweens
Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, East Mountains area. Together we will plan activities, play dates, movie, games, and educational events for our 8-13 year old homeschooled kids.

OLEofNM
OLE-O.L.E. stands for Outer Limits Educators, referring to those on the Outer Limits of the greater Albuquerque area. This group was started to provide East Mountain homeschoolers with secular and all-inclusive homeschool support.

Deming New Mexico Catholic Homeschoolers
We are faithful to the Holy Father and the Magisterium of the Church. The main purpose of this group site is to organize group get-togethers and events.

Lea County Homeschool Association
We provide two, 8 week, co-op sessions per year for children of all ages in our association. Dues are $10 per family per semester.

Sandia Lone Scouts New Mexico
We are a small group of homeschoolers, within sight of the Sandia Mountains in Central New Mexico, who prefer to work independantly toward the goals of boy scouting.

Sharing Homes And Resources for Education
SHARE is a support group at Holloman AFB, near Alamogordo; includes military as well as civilian homeschoolers.

South West At-home Teens
