Cosmos Kids
This group is particularly focused on meeting the social and information needs of families who are homeschooling because their children are gifted, although all home educated children are welcome. The group supports face to face meetings in Sydney or elsewhere in Australia.
South West Sydney Home Educators
The group is open (by invitation only) to all home educators in the greater Sydney area, although most social activities will probably take place from Picton to Liverpool areas.
Sydney Home Education Network
The aim of this website is to facilitate communication and interaction among home educators in the Sydney and surrounding areas, including Newcastle, Wollongong and Blue Mountains.

Home schooling in NSW
Parents or guardians who are home schooling a child accept responsibility for developing, implementing and evaluating their child's learning program. Registration with the Board of Studies NSW is a legal requirement for home schooling while a child is of compulsory school age and not enrolled in a school.
