Home Schooling Legal in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands?
There are no laws concerning homeschooling in PR and it is not necessary to request permission to homeschool.
There are, however, some policies concerning homeschoolers within various government agencies and departments.

VIRGIN ISLANDS
 Virgin Islands Board of Education Home Instruction Policy
Title 17, Section 82, of the Virgin Islands Code describes the duties of parents for educating their children. It requires that parents or persons having control of children over five years of age and under seventeen years of age shall cause such children to attend school regularly. However, Section 84 also allows the parent or person having control of such child to educate the child at home.

Somos un grupo de padres educadores en el hogar ("homeschoolers") que compartimos experiencias en cómo criar, educar y disfrutar a nuestros niños "que aprenden de forma diferente" (ADD/ADHD, Autismo, Sndrome Down, Problemas especficos de aprendizaje, etc.).
CasaEscuela_PuertoRico
Un grupo de apoyo de padres que educamos a nuestros hijos en
el hogar. Nuestra mision es ofrecerle buena educacion y vida
saludable a nuestros hijos, dentro de un sano ambiente familiar.
El grupo se reune mensualmente para compartir en familia, todos
los 3eros viernes de mes y orientamos a familias. Tenemos un
calendario de actividades en el cual se programan excursiones
educativas. Para informacion adicional envienos un mensaje o
visite nuestro foro de mensajes y no olvide firmar nuestro libro
de firmas. Los esperamos! Grupo.
