Texas Homeschooling
Welcome to A to Z Home's Cool Texas Homeschooling page. Homeschooling
in Texas is entirely parent-led and parent-regulated. Our state
respects parents' rights and responsibilities with regard to
home education. Homeschoolers here enjoy a rich, vital, and diverse
support network across the state. Regardless of what you choose
to call yourself -- homeschooler, unschooler, autodidact, or
what have you -- and regardless of whether you choose to associate
with an organized support group, a welcoming community of friends,
eager to help you along your way, awaits you. Just say 'howdy"
(drawl is optional) and you're in! A to
Z Home's Cool provides numerous links to some great resources.
Please browse through them and see how and where your family
can find the support you need.
Associations
Texas Home School Coalition
The Coalition was established as a political action committee
in 1986 by Kirk McCord of Hearth and Home Ministries and the
late Brad Chamberlain. It has a narrow history of Christian homeschooling
on this site which ignores the efforts of others.
