Washington state law recognizes the desire of some parents to
seek a home-based education for their children. OSPI offers technical
assistance to school districts that are working with parents
seeking to exercise this educational right.

Statement of Unity Regarding the Washington Home-Based Instruction Law and Public School Alternative Learning Experience Programs
Of concern to statewide independent homeschool organizations is the blurred distinction between Home-Based Instruction (homeschoolers) and participation in a PSALEP government-defined school. Additionally, troubling aspects involve the marketing of PSALEP's to already-declared homeschoolers and the use of the Declaration of Intent to Provide Home Based Instruction Form as a marketing tool to solicit enrollment.
Washington State's Homeschool Law
Presented and explained by Barb Shelton. What I present here is a basic overview of the homeschool law in Washington state, not a comprehensive, verbatim duplicate of it. But this should suffice for the needs of the general public.

Offers classes at several community colleges as well as an online
distance learning program.

This qualifying course designed by Barb Shelton is done entirely
in your own home, at your own pace.
