WPA is an inclusive grassroots homeschooling organization that
provides information, support, and encouragement for families
through its voice mail, 285-page handbook, annual Conference
and Curriculum Fair, quarterly newsletter, network of Regional
Coordinators, and web site.

Information
In Wisconsin, we must file form PI-1206 with the Department
of Public Instruction, not asking for permission, but informing
them that we are instructing our children at home. This form
attests that we are not circumventing the school attendance laws
and are providing at least 875 hours of instruction per year
covering at least reading, language arts, math, social studies,

Part Time
Public School Attendance Option
The school board of a school district operating high school grades
shall allow a pupil enrolled in a private school or a pupil enrolled
in a home-based educational program (commonly referred to as
home-schooling), who has met the standards for admission to high
school,, to take up to 2 courses during each school semester.

Wisconsin Christian Homeschoolers
Homeschoolers come from different walks of life (and homeschooling

Wisconsin Homeschool Book Swap
If you are a Wisconsin homeschool family and would like to sell
your used books and curriculum, videos, CD's, clothes or other
items that would be of use to other homeschooling families, you

Most subscribers live in Douglas County, Wisconsin and St. Louis
County, Minnesota, but there are a few families outside this
immediate region that have taken an interest in the newsletter
as well. Apples of Gold is published bi-monthly

L.A.R.K. is a group of homeschoolers in the Racine/Kenosha area. We usually meet on Wednesday afternoons for outings, support, and FUN!
