Colchester
Historical Society Museum
We encourage students to visit the museum to explore and enhance
their appreciation of the history of the County of Colchester.
Our exhibits change approximately every three months during the

Glooscap
Heritage Centre
Dedicated to the celebration of Mi'kmaw heritage. The Centre
also has a modern Visitor Information Centre and a Gift Shop

Little White Schoolhouse
Devoted to the history of education in Nova Scotia from the mid-1800's
to the early 1970's. The museum itself is a former one-room school.

Google Earth satelite maps of places to try your hand at rock
and fossil collecting in the Minas Basin area, Halifax, south
Shore, and in Parrsboro and Joggins area. No street directions,
so you'll need to figure out how to get to these areas on your
own.

County - Bay of Fundy
The tidal bore is a wave of water that moves upstream against
the current. Twice every day the Bay of Fundy fills and empties
of its 100 billion tons of water, creating the highest tides
in the world up to 53 feet high! Fossil hunting and beachcombing
also fine.
Young
Naturalists Club
An opportunity for children 8 years old and up to connect with
nature in a fun and informal way. Meets once a month for indoor
meetings and to go on one field trip per month. Free to join.
