For those interested in seeing the battlefields of Gettysburg,
some relax on an air-conditioned bus listening to a recorded
story. There are those who drive in their own car with an auto
tape tour and others hire a Licensed Battlefield Guide to ride

history presentations of traditional crafts and home crafts,
Wheaton Village Glass Blowers demonstrations, grain threshing,
saw milling, shingle milling and quiltmaking. Children can enjoy
hands-on activities like Archaeology for Kids, Rubbing Stations
and Stampers or, join the campfire chats in the Civil War Encampment.

Independence National
Historical Park
Located in downtown (called "Center City"), Philadelphia,
is often referred to as the birthplace of our nation. At the
park, visitors can see the Liberty Bell, an international symbol
of freedom, and Independence Hall, a World Heritage Site where
both the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution
were created.
