Black Hills Tourist Info Directory and Guide

Hot Springs
The plunge and its therapeutic healing water is a cornerstone of the history of Hot Springs and it is the oldest tourist attraction in the region. Hot Springs is home to the world-famous Mammoth Site, an active paleontology research site. Wind Cave National Park is just minutes north of town. A four-story schoolhouse built in 1893, is now home to the Fall River County Pioneer Museum.

Mount Rushmore National Memorial
South Dakota's Black Hills provide the backdrop for Mount Rushmore, the world's greatest mountain carving. These 60-foot high faces, 500 feet up, look out over a setting of pine, spruce, birch, and aspen in the clear western air.

Reptile Gardens
Features the world's largest reptile collection, raptors, parrots, orchids
50,000 flowers, and more. Located in Rapid City.

Siouxland Heritage Museums
The Old Courthouse Museum and the Pettigrew Home and Museum are two of the best ways to experience history in the region.. 200 West 6th Street, Sioux, Falls, (605) 367-4210)

South Dakota Discovery Center & Aquarium
