Art Museums
Brattleboro Museum & Art Center

Events
Vermont Historical Society Annual Expo
Tumbridge Fair grounds in Central Vermont. The event is held in late June and attracts almost all the state's local historical societies. There are usually at least 100 exhibits ranging from period folk music to booths where you can look up your family history.

Fairbanks Museum & Planetarium

Hildene

The Historical Society of Windham County
Artifacts related to Windham County came from Clara Chipman Newton whose ancestors settled on Newfane Hill after the American Revolution. Rt. 30 in Newfane Village.
Natural History
Southern Vermont Natural History Museum
Our natural history collection includes over 600 native New England birds and mammals in 150 small dioramas, one of the largest collections of its type in the Northeast. Route 9, Hogback Mountain, Marlboro, Vermont 05344. (802)464-0048.
Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department Fish Hatcheries
The department started raising fish in Vermont in 1891. The oldest hatchery is in Roxbury, built in 1890-91. The newest hatchery was built in 1991 in Grand Isle. All of our hatcheries are open for viewing daily.

Shelburne Museum
Passport to Learning is an exciting new series of twelve interactive workshops for students in grades K-8 that meet educational standards from Vermont's Framework of Standards and Grade Expectations and introduce students to concepts and themes in art, language arts, math, science, and social studies through a facilitated exploration of Shelburne Museum.
