B.C. Home Learners' Association
BCHLA (Formerly CHEA) was founded to protect the individual rights
of parents to choose the home education option and to conduct
their child's education according to their individual choices.
B.C. Homeschool Association
The BC Home School Association is a registered society in the Province of British Columbia endeavoring to inform, support and encourage families choosing to provide their child with a home based education.

We're a long-established, independent school that has recently

We offer information about home-based, public or independent
school enrollment options as a public service and to help clarify
the difference between home-based learning options currently
available in BC.
Distributed Learning vs. Homeschooling
Students enrolled in a public or independent school distributed
learning program and children who are registered as homeschooled
by their parents have different legal definitions, rights and
responsibilities under the School Act or Independent
School Act.
Foundation
Skills Assessment
This is a letter received from the Ministry of Education on the
new Foundation Skills Assessment (FSA). It is not a required
test for home educated learners; we still have freedom in the
area of testing.
Home-schooling
Statistics 
Numbers of registered home-schooled students since the 1989/90
school year to the 2004-05 school year, including grants issued to registering
schools.

Independent School Distributed Learning (DL) Program
Distributed Learning is a method of instruction that relies primarily on indirect communication between students and teachers, including internet or other electronic-based delivery, teleconferencing or correspondence.

First Class Chilliwack Homeschool Co-op
A great program for Homeschool families, a one-day (Tuesdays) Homeschool cooperative. It meets for 2 sessions each year, one in the fall and one in the spring.

Homelearners South of the Fraser
A Homelearners support group centred in Surrey, British Columbia.
We currently have members located in Surrey, White Rock, Delta,
Langley, Abbotsford, and New Westminster.
Ridge Meadows Home Learners Group
Our members are diversified in beliefs, experiences and backgrounds. The group is open to all homeschoolers to join us in the community of homelearning.
KELOWNA
Learners Unlimited
A support group for families in and around Kelowna, BC, Canada who have chosen to learn at home. We are a mixed bunch with many different approaches to home education and to life.
PRINCE GEORGE
Prince George Home Educators' Association
The site is geared for Prince George and area home educators,
but it may be of some use to those beyond our local geography
as well. We're hoping that it will be used as a reference
tool for those new to home education and also to those that are
more experienced.
Prince George Homeschool Organization of Meaningful Education
We are a Canadian non-denominational homeschool support group in BC's northern region. Our Yahoo group is open to all homeschoolers to communicate and keep in touch with one another. We also offer a membership to homeschoolers in the Prince George region for field trips and other special events.

New Life Home School Association
We are a Christian support group of home schooling parents who meet monthly in the Burnaby, B.C. area to encourage each other, share information and resources, and learn new ways to help our children learn.
North Shore Home Learners Group
The families in our homeschool group come from all over the North
Shore, as well as Burnaby and Vancouver. The NSHLG is run by
volunteers -- parents with ideas or those who just like to get
involved.
Vancouver Christian Home Educators Association
